London most definitely holds the most celebrated cinematic opening ceremonies in Olympic history. With James Bond (Daniel Craig) parachuting into the stadium, Paul McCartney’s rendition of ‘Hey Jude,’ and a visit from Queen Elizabeth II herself amalgamating a visual show full of shock and awe. London has so much to offer tourists looking to explore this great capital. Iconic architecture such as Big Ben, the London Eye, Buckingham Palace and River Thames are all lovely spots for sightseeing and postcard views. Not to mention that there are plenty of homey pubs and cafes to visit to enjoy daily tea time or a tall pint.
