The pink lake is last on the list but should not be underestimated. Located in the Golden Outback region of Western Australia, close to Esperance, this colorful body of water is a mesmerizing attraction for tourists worldwide who take time out of their experience down under to visit this phenomenon. There are plenty of opportunities to take pictures at this location (Instagramers be ready) as well as hiking and relaxing near the water. Pink hues are the result of Halobacteria and Dunaliella salina, which thrive in salty environments and are capable of transforming the color of large bodies of water.
