Great Barrier Reef is a remarkable example of the beauty of Earth’s aquatic ecosystem and is most definitely one of the most important naturally occurring wonders of the world. Off the coast of Queensland, Australia, approximately three-thousand individual reefs form this massive aquatic body and house a cornucopia of marine life. Tourists are able to visit via snorkeling and diving organizations which operate among the one-thousand six-hundred and fifteen miles of diverse oceanic species. For visitors lucky enough to experience reef life up-close, the importance of ocean life to balancing earth's ecosystem has never been more clear or more readily available.
