Skagen is a town in Denmark which is located most north of the country. Skagen is home to an unusual beach structure called Grenen but is known more commonly to locals as The Branch. This beach is a special place for tourists to visit if they are looking for a calm attraction which does not receive too many visitors. Grenen’s size is increasing over time as the sandbar point is caught where two large bodies of water are meeting, Kattegat and Skagerrak Straight. Such phenomena are creating a fantastic attraction for visitors but are not necessarily the warmest beach conditions year round, and swimming is prohibited for safety reasons. That being said, there is a window in peak season which makes for ideal walking weather and may offer a refreshing dose of Vitamin D.
